Our babies are properly weaned and never, ever forced to wean.  A baby is ready for his or her home when they decide to eat well on their own and do not require hand feeding. This makes for a well balanced and confident yellow collared macaw. Once they reach the appropriate age, they start the day with baked sweet potatoes, natural/unsweetened apple sauce, soaked golden obles, and slices of fruits & veggies.  This teaches babies to start exploring safe foods.  

Our yellow collared macaw are on a fruit, nut, vegetable diet along with their staple of Oven Fresh Bites Baked Avian Pellet.

Our yellow collared macaware well socalized and love being played with.  They are use to commotion and motion all around them, such as barking (courtesy of our dog Molly), meows (courtesy of our cats Goober and Dylan), vacuum noise, other birds, and Pandora.  Their selection of music varies with their mood!
